Brown 2.5-button houndstooth jacket in wool and cashmere from Moon. Unconstructed assembly, unconstructed shoulders, 2 side patch pockets, 2 back slits and full inner lining.

English tweed, houndstooth pattern, tartan tie, thick cotton canvas pants. The shirt collar is "English" too.
But "La Gloire" stands proudly, the first French battleship designed in 1858 to integrate the French navy, a great rival of the Royal Navy.

What is commonly known as the houndstooth is in fact the shepherd's check, since this motif, like the tartan or the gun club, also comes from Scotland. In the 19th century, this distinctive pattern was used on tweeds and woollens worn by Scottish shepherds.
The origins were modest and rustic, but over time houndstooth became a symbol of sophistication and elegance. In the 1930s, the motif began to appear in the collections of prestigious fashion houses such as Chanel.
