Grey and Black Herringbone Jacket

Grey and Black Herringbone Jacket

Ref:VEPS370/2002/01AH23

Gray and black Herringbone 2-button jacket in wool tweed from Moon. Traditional fit, structured shoulder pads, 2 flap pockets, 1 back slit, full inner lining.

When we think of tweed, we think of the gentleman farmer, the racetrack or even Conan Doyle's London. Yet the tweed jacket is not the preserve of horsemen or hunters, still less the costume of a bygone age. On the contrary, it's a simple jacket that combines elegance and casualness, and can be paired with jeans, white chino or black velvet pants.

This is particularly true of the black and gray herringbone tweed jacket. Paired with a black merino turtleneck or denim shirt, it has a place in the contemporary wardrobe.
Yves Montand wore it with a white shirt and black knit tie, Paul Newman with the collar up and jeans. Robert Redford almost never takes it off in Three Days of the Condor over his blue chambray shirt.
