Herringbone Plain White
Dobby is derived from the term “draw boy” and refers to a small child who was perched at the top of a loom in order to help the weaver achieve complicated structures. The draw boy was replaced around 1840 by a mechanical wooden peg system called "dobby loom". Dobby designs are often white-on-white to accentuate the complex structures, which today are produced by computerised technology.
