Monsieur fait salon
The first Salon de l’Homme, a new menswear show, has come to a successful close. We know, because we were there.
The Palais de Tokyo was the venue, and Monsieur’s stand was built around the talents of our eight partners (Swann, Six & Sept, Berreta, Le Loir en Papillon, JM Legazel, MMC, Di Carlo, l’Atelier Renard) to create a microcosm of what the magazine stands for.
The stand provided a showcase for the crafts, products, and expertise that our readers value so highly. Reading the magazine means making discoveries, and the Monsieur stand offered a number of exciting new options that won over a large number of visitors. They were happy to come and order a shirt from Swann, to buy a sweater from Six & Sept, a lapel pin from Le Loir en Papillon or socks from chez Di Carlo, to discover some vintage patina at JM Legazel and to explore made-to-measure leather goods from l’Atelier Renard. Our writers, like Floc’h, autographed their books while enjoying a fine Cardhu whisky, and the elegantly fashionable gentlemen thronged the aisles. Men now have their own exhibition, and things are all the better for it – so make sure you head for the next edition, which will be on an even grander scale!
