Help
Place the tie fully flat on a hard, flat surface, then pass a clean, damp cloth with a little added ammonia, over the entire length of the tie. As soon as the cloth becomes dirty, replace it. When the tie is clean, pass over it with the jet from a steam iron. If you don’t have access to a steam iron, lightly dampen the back of the tie with a little water, then put some very hot water in a bottle, roll the tie around the bottle and leave it there for a few moments.
Some silk ties can be washed. To wash them in complete safety, follow the instructions printed on the label and put a little sugar in the water used for the final rinse to add a finishing touch.
 Save your ties from stains!
Blow them away with Texguard or a similar anti-staining agent. On silk, like wool, all you have to do is damp them down with a towel soaked in mineral water to achieve flawless results.
Don’t do it! Just pass over the tie using the jet from a steam iron. If you don’t have access to a steam iron, lightly dampen the back of the tie with a little water, then put some very hot water in a bottle, roll the tie around the bottle and leave it there for a few moments.
